Description: Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer had a nice game during Wednesday's win versus Portland.
Insight: He had 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists, five steals, four turnovers, and went 10-of-10 from the line. Brewer is worthy of a roster spot.

11/26/2014 10:32:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer scored a team-high 19 points during Wednesday's loss to the Bucks.
Insight: Brewer also chipped in six rebounds, three assists, three steals, but did have seven turnovers.

10/18/2014 11:01:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer is penciled in as the starting small forward to begin the season.
Insight: He started 81 games for Minnesota last season and put up some solid numbers (12.3 PPG, 1.9 SPG, 48% FG). Brewer does not have anyone pushing him for his starting spot, so he should be able to at least duplicate those numbers. Target him towards the end of your drafts.

3/30/2014 9:50:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer had 21 points, three rebounds and four steals Sunday at Brooklyn.
Insight: Brewer has picked up nine steals over his last three games and his 1.69 steals per game rank 13th in the NBA.

2/8/2014 2:10:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer's 26 points Saturday were his most since Nov. 13.
Insight: Brewer hadn't even scored 20 points since Nov. 23. Playing without three starters -- Kevin Love, Nikola Pekovic, Kevin Martin -- the Wolves still managed to score 110 points in Saturday's loss due to Brewer's 26, Ricky Rubio's 25 and Chase Budinger's 19.

2/5/2014 2:10:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer will miss Wednesday's game against the Thunder following the birth of his son, according to Timberwolves PR. He'll be back for Friday's game.
Insight: Kevin Durant should have a field day with one of Minnesota's best wing defenders out. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Dante Cunningham and Chase Budinger will absorb Brewer's 31.8 minutes per game.

1/22/2014 12:53:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Corey Brewer's 19 points Tuesday at Utah were his most since Nov. 23.
Insight: Brewer has started all 41 games and played 32 minutes per game for the Wolves this season but he's only averaging 11.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists. His only above-average fantasy contribution is his 1.6 steals per game.

1/1/2014 10:25:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Corey Brewer had five points, five rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block Wednesday against New Orleans.
Insight: Brewer has limited fantasy appeal because he doesn't rebound much despite being 6-foot-9, doesn't contribute assists and is a pitiful 3-point shooter. He does have 1.7 steals per game, but that's his only top fantasy skill.

11/8/2013 10:28:00 PM
Description: Corey Brewer has scored 17.5 ppg over his last two games.
Insight: He's had double-digit points in four straight games and five of six this season. He should improve on his stats from last season with Denver, when he averaged 12.1 points, 1.4 steals and 1.1 threes in 24.5 minutes per game. He's playing 32 mpg as Minnesota's starting small forward.

10/30/2013 7:03:00 PM
Description: Corey Brewer is starting Minnesota's season opener Wednesday against the Magic at small forward.
Insight: Brewer returned to the team that drafted him when he signed with the Timberwolves this summer. He averaged 12.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 threes over 24 minutes per game with the Nuggets last season. He'll have to compete with Derrick Williams, Shabazz Muhammad and Chase Budinger for small forward minutes, so his fantasy value will be limited.

7/10/2013 7:55:00 PM
Description: Corey Brewer and the Timberwolves have agreed to a three-year, $15 million contract, according to Yahoo's Marc Spears.
Insight: Brewer spent four seasons in Minnesota before being traded to the Knicks at the 2011 trade deadline. Last year in Denver, Brewer averaged 12.1 ppg on 42.5 percent shooting. He'll compete with Chase Budinger and rookie Shabazz Muhammad for minutes at the three next season.

Hot4/7/2013 11:48:00 AM
Description: Nuggets guard-forward Corey Brewer had a team-high 22 points in 29 minutes off the bench Saturday against the Rockets.
Insight: Denver didn't have Ty Lawson (torn plantar fascia) or Danilo Gallinari (torn ACL) but it put up 132 points thanks to a full team effort. Brewer will be a solid fantasy option down the stretch.

Hot12/30/2012 1:39:00 PM
Description: Nuggets guard-forward Corey Brewer is averaging 13.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.3 threes per game while shooting 48.5 from the field in 15 December games.
Insight: Brewer's ppg average during that span is dragged down by Dec. 25 (0-3, 2 points) and Dec. 28 (0-6, 0 points). While he's likely to have more games like that this season, the forward has certainly proved his worth to fantasy owners this month.

Hot12/11/2012 10:40:00 PM
Description: Nuggets guard-forward Corey Brewer has been scorching the past five games, averaging 17.6 ppg on 55.7 percent shooting.
Insight: Brewer has averaged 24 mpg during his current hot streak, which isn't much of a difference from his 23 mpg average for the season. He's just been making more shots, but with a career .415 shooting percentage, it's not likely to continue.

2/21/2011 11:33:00 PM
Description: Corey Brewer is reportedly headed to New York. The Wolves also acquired Eddy Curry and Anthony Randolph. SOURCE: New York Times
Insight: Brewer will play behind Landry Fields and will have a tough time gaining value. The Knicks could also turn around and ship him in another deal. They are desperate for a big man and only have Ronny Turiaf and Shelden Williams as possible centers. Eddy Curry obviously has no value and only very deep leagues should think about adding Anthony Randolph.

1/15/2011 10:45:00 PM
Description: Corey Brewer had a beautiful fantasy line of 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting combined with his three rebounds, five steals, and two threes in a losing effort.
Insight: Wesley Johnson has quickly fallen out of it with just 21 minutes and four points. Go ahead and make the switch if you still can. Brewer should not produce lines like this once Michael Beasley comes back, which could be in less than a week.

1/8/2011 6:00:00 PM
Description: Brewer will be starting in place of Wes Johnson on Sunday when the Timberwolves face the Spurs.
Insight: Brewer is a solid source of threes and steals when he is given minutes. He's not a must own player, but he could be worth a look in most leagues. (RapidDraft.com)

11/6/2010 11:02:00 AM
Description: Brewer had 18 points and five steals in the Timberwolves loss to Atlanta.
Insight: Maybe it was seeing former college roommate Al Horford on the other side that helped Brewer play his best game of the season. He has been getting consistent minutes off the Minnesota bench. (RapidDraft.com)
