An explosive scorer who netted over 20.0 ppg in his final two seasons at Cal State Fullerton, including 23.9 ppg as a senior...Never averaged more than 1.6 apg, proof that he was counted on to score much more than distribute...A blur with the ball in his hands, Akognon is one of the fastest players in this year`s draft class...Has a variety of moves with the ball in his hands, allowing him to beat defenders and get to the rim consistently...Has a tremendously quick release on his jumper and is able to get it off against significantly taller defenders...A tremendous free throw shooter who hit 90.5 percent of his shots from the line as a senior...Akognon clearly played the shooting guard position in college, but at 5-11 he is grossly undersized to play there in the NBA...Needed to prove that he can be a pass-first player...Sometimes tries to do too much and needs to be more selective at the offensive end.
