Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Gregory shot 6-of-10 from 3-point
range on his way to 18 points to lead the Montana Grizzlies past the
Sacramento State Hornets, 70-55, in a Big Sky Conference bout at The Nest.
Kareem Jamar and Keron DeShields both netted 10 points for Montana (17-11,
12-7 Big Sky), which has won a season-high five straight games.
For Sacramento State (13-15, 9-10), losers of three straight, Dylan Garrity
matched a game-high with 18 points, while Mikh McKinney added 10 points and
Montana was red-hot from the field in the first half, shooting 17-of-27 (.630)
as it carried a comfortable 43-24 lead into the break. The Hornets made good
on just 36.4 percent of their field goal tries in the opening 20 minutes.
Although Sacramento State improved its field goal shooting to 57.1 percent in
the second half, it was unable to get closer than nine points of the lead.
Sacramento State committed a game-high 15 turnovers and was outscored from 3-
point range, 24-15.
