Oxford, MS (SportsNetwork.com) - Marshall Henderson and Jarvis Summers each
tallied 19 points to lead the Ole Miss Rebels over instate rival Mississippi
State 82-63 in SEC Conference play at Tad Smith Coliseum.
LaDarius White scored 11 points for the Rebels (14-5, 5-1 SEC), who won their
fourth straight game. Sebastian Saiz and Aaron Jones pulled down 11 and 10
IJ Ready and Roquez Johnson both scored 13 points for the Bulldogs (13-6,
3-3). They were the team's only double-digit scorers.
In the first half the Rebels shot 45.2 percent from the field and 8-of-10
at the free-throw line. The Bulldogs, at 39.3 percent on field goal tries and
just 2-of-5 at the charity stripe, trailed 38-27 at halftime.
Both teams' field goal shooting improved in the final 20 minutes, with the
Rebels shooting 46.9 percent to the Bulldogs' 41.9 percent. Ole Miss
established a 21 point lead, early in the half, its largest of the day.
Poor free throw shooting hurt the Bulldogs, who hit just 6-of-14 in the
contest. They were also heavily outrebounded in the loss (43-32).
