(Wednesday, January 16) Final Score: Miami-Florida 60, Boston College 59 Chestnut Hill, MA (Sports Network) - Durand Scott scored a team-high 15 points as the Miami-Florida Hurricanes held-on to defeat the Boston College Eagles, 60-59, in Atlantic Coast Conference play at Conte Forum. Scott was also a perfect 4-of-4 from the free-throw line in the Hurricanes' (13-3, 4-0 ACC) fifth-straight win. Kenny Kadji and Trey McKinney Jones scored 14 and 11 points, respectively. For the Eagles (9-8, 1-3), Olivier Hanlan scored a game-high 17 points to go with four boards and four assists. Lonnie Jackson and Ryan Anderson scored 16 and 11 points, respectively, as Boston College lost its second game in a row. Both teams made 11 shots from the floor including four 3-pointers in the opening half. Boston College's two free throws to Miami's zero were the deciding factor as the Eagles went into the intermission on top, 28-26. Miami battled back in the second, forcing seven turnovers and outscoring Boston College in points in the paint, 14-6, en route to a one- point victory. The Hurricanes trailed by three points with under 30 seconds remaining before Scott drained four free throws to put them up by one. Hanlan drew a foul on a 3-point attempt with one second left, but Miami was handed the decision when his the final free throw attempt rattled out. Miami was 22-of-53 from the floor including seven made from beyond the arc on the night.
