AFL honors Grady, Berry, Dukes & Bocage in Week 11

Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Utah QB Tommy Grady and New Orleans WR PJ Berry have been named Russell Athletic Co-Offensive Player of the Week. Tampa Bay LB Cliff Dukes and Utah WR Chris Bocage have been named Riddell Defensive Player of the Week and JLS Ironman of the Week, respectively, for Week 11 of the 2011 AFL season. In addition to these three awards, the AFL is also awarding the best catch of the week, the playmaker of the week and the highlight of the week. The Cutters Catch of the Week award winner for Week 11 is WR Bradly Chavez of the Kansas City Command, while the NiFTy Playmaker of the Week is Arizona's WR Trandon Harvey. The Spalding Highlight of the Week award winner is Chicago's JLB Kelvin Morris.
RUSSELL ATHLETIC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Berry (6-0, 200, Virginia State) tallied 12 catches for 154-yards and three touchdowns in the Voodoo's, 53-61, loss to the Arizona Rattlers. Berry hauled in more than half of the team's total receiving yards. In 10 games, Berry stands atop the AFL in total all-purpose yards (2,169) and all purpose yards per game (216.9).
Grady (6-7, 245, Utah) completed 23 of his 32 passes for 319-yards and nine touchdowns in the Blaze's victory over the San Jose SaberCats, 76-68. Grady also tallied two rushes for 8-yards and one touchdown. In nine games, Grady ranks atop the AFL in passing yards per game (316.6) and second in total offense (2,891).
RIDDELL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dukes (6-3, 280, Michigan State) notched 4.5 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, three tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries in Tampa's Week 11 victory over the Spokane Shock, 51-42. Dukes leads the League in total sacks (10.5) and tackles for a Loss (13.0).
JLS IRONMAN OF THE WEEK
Bocage (5-10,190, USC) collected six receptions for 75-yards, and three touchdowns in the Blaze's victory over San Jose. Bocage also recorded 158 kick return yards, including one for a touchdown. He tallied 233 all purpose yards.
CUTTERS CATCH OF THE WEEK
Chavez (6-2, 220, UAB) caught a 16-yard, walk off touchdown pass from quarterback JJ Raterink as the clock expired. The touchdown gave Kansas City their victory over the Tulsa Talons, 40-38.
NIFTY PLAYMAKER OF THE WEEK
Harvey (6-11, 190, Washington State) posted six receptions for 86-yards and four touchdowns in Arizona's, 61-53, victory against New Orleans. Harvey was on the receiving end of one kickoff and returned it 45-yards for a score.
SPALDING HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK
Morris (6-4, 250, Clemson) intercepted a Dan Raudabaugh pass and returned it 55-yards for a touchdown in Chicago's, 69-57, victory over Dallas. Morris's play was featured on ESPN's Top 10 Weekend Plays. The highlight came in the eighth spot.
Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week candidates included: New Orleans' PJ Berry, Tampa Bay's Huey Whittaker, Cleveland's Kurt Rocco, Georgia's Maurice Purify, Kansas City's JJ Raterink, Utah's Tommy Grady and Chicago's Russ Michna.
Riddell Defensive Player of the Week candidates included: Arizona's Virgil Gray, Tampa Bay's Cliff Dukes, Cleveland's Drew Berube, Jacksonville's Terrance Smith, Kansas City's Ken Fontenette, Utah's Brandon Taylor and Chicago's Vic Hall.
JLS Ironman of the Week candidates included: Kansas City's Bradly Chavez, New Orleans' PJ Berry, New Orleans' D Bryant, Spokane's Ruschard Dodd-Masters, Cleveland's Robert Redd, Chicago's Kelvin Morris, Georgia's Maurice Purify, Tulsa's Jamar Ransom and Utah's Chris Bocage.
