Brooklyn Nets (46-32) at Indiana Pacers (49-29), 7 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Indiana Pacers will attempt to clinch the third seed in the Eastern Conference when they host playoff-bound Brooklyn.
The Pacers were on the cusp of their third straight blowout defeat on Tuesday before righting the ship and earning a much-needed win when Paul George's go- ahead 3-pointer with 29 seconds left lifted Indiana to a 99-94 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Indiana trailed by 20 points early in the fourth, but a 17-0 run in the frame got the Pacers back in it.
A bit later, George Hill's three-point play in transition following a Lance Stephenson steal gave them their first lead of the second half, 93-92, with just 46.5 seconds left.
Overall Indiana outscored Cleveland 35-10 in the final frame and Hill finished with 29 points to lead the Pacers, who are two games behind the New York Knicks for the No. 2 seed in the East and three ahead of the Nets for the third spot with four games left in the regular season.
"We finally got back to playing like our old selves," George said.
Brooklyn, meanwhile, is three games clear of Chicago for the fourth slot and is coming off an impressive 101-93 road victory over the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Wednesday.
Deron Williams scored 29 points in that one as three different players netted at least 20 for the Nets. Williams also handed out 12 assists and nailed all 10 attempts from the free- throw line for Brooklyn, which is closing in on home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. guards in the league," Nets interim coach P.J. Brook Lopez added 21 points and Joe Johnson tallied 20 as well against the C's for the Nets, while Reggie Evans brought in 14 rebounds. Brooklyn has won three straight overall and captured the season series with Boston, 3-1.
The Nets have also beaten Indiana three straight times since losing 10 consecutive in the series.
