Final Score: Saskatchewan 30, Calgary 25
Regina, SK (Sports Network) - Darian Durant threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a 30-25 win over the Calgary Stampeders on Sunday.
Durant completed 22-of-35 passes, including eight to Weston Dressler for 98 yards and a touchdown for the Roughriders (6-6), winners in three of their last four.
Kevin Glenn threw for 270 yards and a pair of touchdowns -- both to Marquay McDaniel -- on 24-of-38 efficiency for the Stampeders (7-5), who had a four- game winning streak snapped.
After forcing a fumble on the first play from scrimmage, Calgary got on the board when Rene Paredes booted a 33-yard field goal.
But Saskatchewan answered with a touchdown to go up 7-3. Drew Willy's 1-yard plunge capped a 12-play, 67-yard march.
Glenn connected with McDaniel for a 10-yard touchdown in the early part of the second quarter to give the Stampeders the lead. Calgary went 52 yards on five plays, highlighted by a 19-yard run-and-catch by Scott McHenery.
Sandro DeAngelis' 38-yarder tied the game at 10-10. Back-to-back long gains on passes to Dressler put the ball in Calgary territory, but Durant's pass on 2nd-and-7 was incomplete and the Riders settled for the field goal.
Calgary went up 13-10 when Paredes nailed a 37-yarder, but the Roughriders scored 17 unanswered points to go up 27-13.
DeAngelis capped an 7-play march with a 22-yard field goal.
Glenn's pass on the next play was intercepted by Joe Lobendahn and Saskatchewan needed just two plays to find the end zone as Durant hooked up with Dressler for an 11-yard TD pass.
Tristian Jackson returned a Calgary punt 32 yards and two plays later Durant connected with Taj Smith on a 30-yard TD strike.
Calgary rallied for 12 points in the fourth. Paredes' 44-yarder pulled the Stamps within 27-16 and Glenn's 7-yard touchdown pass, followed by a two-point conversion and a 90-yard single made it 27-25.
DeAngelis added a 37-yard field goal with 20 seconds remaining and Glenn's pass in the final seconds was intercepted and Saskatchewan held on for the win.
The Roughriders are 4-2 at home this season ... Despite the loss, Calgary leads the all-time series 119-88-9.
