Insight: Pence took a pitch in the arm just above the wrist on Thursday which caused the break. With the six-to-eight week timetable, fantasy owners can't really depend on any production from Pence in April. Pence has played in 383 straight games, so that will come to an end. Gregor Blanco will see most of the left over playing time in right field.

Relief pitcher Kevin Quackenbush came on to barely close the door as San Diego won, 3-2. Pence is hitting .288/.342/.463 with 73 RBI, 13 stolen bases and 105 runs to go along with the 20 homers.
