Description: Travis Snider got a rare start against a left-handed starter last night and rewarded the Blue Jays by smacking a three-run homer.
Insight: The team has said that they will give Snider more starts against lefties this season in an effort to help him become a more complete hitter. That could backfire on fantasy owners if he can't hit for average against them but at least it gives him more power potential.

Description: Travis Snider is off to a good start this season for the Jays. Snider picked up two more hits today, now hitting .375, and threw out Danny Valencia at home from left field.
Insight: Snider finished April last season with a .255 mark, so he's off to a good start comparably speaking this year. The Jays are high on him and you should be also. He's got 30 homer potential and hits in a great lineup. All he needs is at bats, great hitting and solid defense will deliver those.

Description: Travis Snider has yet to participate in baseball-related activities because of an injury to his upper rib-cage area, reports. Snider suffered the injury last week while playing golf in Innisbrook, Fla. He is experiencing soreness on the left side of his body in the intercostal muscles, which are located between the ribs.
Insight: It's unfortunate that he injured himself playing golf, since he should finally get the opportunity to be an everyday player for the Blue Jays this year. Snider should be ready for opening day, however. (
