Final Score: FC Dallas 3, Colorado 2

Frisco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - FC Dallas snapped a woeful run of results on Saturday at Toyota Stadium as Fabian Castillo's goal in the 62nd minute lifted FCD to a 3-2 win over the Colorado Rapids.

Dallas brought an eight-match winless skid into Saturday's match, during which the club earned just two points.

But after falling behind to a 25th-minute goal from Deshorn Brown, Dallas took a 2-1 lead into halftime through goals from Andres Escobar and Zach Loyd.

Jose Mari's header leveled the contest in the 52nd minute for the Rapids, but a nice individual effort from Castillo 10 minutes later provided the difference to end FCD's slide.

The Rapids claimed seven points from their three most recent matches, and Brown got them off the mark in the 25th when he scored after Drew Moor's knockdown.

However, a streak of bad luck saw the home side take the lead when a free kick from Jair Benitez deflected off of Escobar and beat goalkeeper Clint Irwin.

The Colorado netminder was also beaten in first-half stoppage time by a deflected shot from Loyd.

A period of pressure from the Rapids in the second half resulted in a corner kick from Dillon Powers that found Mari at the back post for a diving header that beat Raul Fernandez.

Blas Perez saw an open header go off the crossbar a few minutes later for Dallas, but Castillo claimed all three points for his team shortly after when he weaved through three defenders and chipped a ball beyond the reach of Irwin.
