Chievo parts ways with Corini

Verona, Italy (Sports Network) - Chievo has parted ways with manager Eugenio Corini by mutual consent, the club confirmed on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old Corini replaced former boss Domenico Di Carlo at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi in October after the Flying Donkeys dropped five of their first six Serie A matches.

Corini eventually stabilized Chievo and the club finished 12th in Serie A with 45 points.

"After reaching the set goal of booking the club a 12th season in Serie A, Chievo and coach Eugenio Corini have mutually agreed not to renew their working relationship for the 2013-14 season," a statement read on the club's official website.

"President Luca Campedelli and everybody at the club thank Corini and his staff for their commitment, professionalism and constant dedication and wish them the best for a successful future in football."
