United's Young set for injury layoff

Manchester, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Manchester United midfielder Ashley Young is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a shoulder injury in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Tottenham-Hotspur.

Young, 28, was injured in a challenge with Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and United boss David Moyes said his winger would be out "for a time" but was unable to give an exact timetable.

Following their second loss to Tottenham at Old Trafford in consecutive seasons, the Red Devils find themselves in seventh place in the Premiership, 11 points behind league-leaders Arsenal.

United will host Swansea City in the third round of the FA Cup before battling the Swans in Premier League play on Jan. 11.
