Lions sign RB Logan to contract extension

Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - The British Columbia Lions signed running back Stefan Logan to a contract extension on Monday.

Logan originally signed with British Columbia in 2008 and rushed for 889 yards that season. He also caught 52 passes for 477 yards and three touchdowns.

The speedy running back joined the NFL in 2009 as a return specialist. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers (2009) and Detroit Lions (2010-2012).

Logan returned to British Columbia in mid-October last season and rushed for 236 yards with one touchdown.

"Stefan demonstrated last season that he gives our offence an added dimension," said British Columbia general manager Wally Buono. "His speed, athleticism and football instincts make him a very valuable piece of a championship-calibre team."
