Burris highlights CFL's weekly honor roll

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Henry Burris was among those chosen as the top players in the CFL for Week 11 of the 2013 season.

Burris picked up the offensive award after completing 25-of-35 passes for 375 yards with a season-high four touchdowns in Hamilton's 37-29 win over British Columbia. He is just 217 yards shy of becoming the fifth CFL quarterback to reach 50,000 career passing yards.

Winnipeg's Desmond Washington earned the defensive honor thanks to a game-high seven tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery in a 25-13 win over Saskatchewan. His fumble recovery led to a touchdown that gave the Blue Bombers a 23-13 edge.

Bombers' kick returner Will Ford was named the special teams winner. He had a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, staking Winnipeg to a 7-3 lead in the victory over the Roughriders.

Calgary running back Jon Cornish was chosen as the top Canadian for the third time this season. He rushed for 131 yards on 14 carries and caught six passes for 46 yards with a score in the Stampeders' 22-12 victory over Edmonton.
