Cullowhee, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Czerapowicz scored 19 points to help lead the Davidson Wildcats to an 82-77 win over the Western Carolina Catamounts in a Southern Conference clash at the Ramsey Center.

Tyler Kalinoski scored 15 points and had a game high nine rebounds for the Wildcats (9-11, 5-1 SoCon), who have now won two in a row and five of their past six games. Jack Gibbs came off the bench to score 15 points and tally four rebounds and four assists. De'Mon Brooks added 12 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.

Trey Sumler scored 16 to lead the Catamounts (11-10, 4-2), but it was on 5- of-17 shooting from the field. James Sinclair shot poorly too, going 5-of-16 from the floor for his 15 points, but he also grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Brandon Boggs chipped in 14 points.

The teams went into the locker room with the Wildcats holding a 47-41 lead behind an all-around stellar shooting performance. They hit 72 percent of their shots from the field, including 9-of-12 from 3-point range. The Catamounts kept it close by nabbing eight steals and forcing 12 first half turnovers.

Davidson did not relinquish the lead for the entirety of the second half, although the Catamounts closed their deficit to 74-72 with 1:10 left in the game. The Wildcats held on by going a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line in the final minute.

The Wildcats had a 40-25 advantage on the boards. The Catamounts lost despite forcing 22 turnovers and committing only six.
