Golovkin knocks out Ishida, remains undefeated

Monte Carlo, Monaco (Sports Network) - WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin kept his unblemished record intact with a third round knockout of Nobuhiro Ishida at the Salle d'Etoiles in Monte Carlo on Saturday.

After picking up steam in the second round, Golovkin (26-0, 23 KOs) delivered a powerful right-handed blow, which caused Ishida's head to crash into the ground.

The 37-year-old Ishida (24-9-2, 9 KOs) was stopped for the first time.
