Description: According to Tom Curran of CSNNE.com, Danny Amendola actually signed his contract with New England Tuesday but the team kept the deal under wraps. The Patriots reportedly still had their two-year, $10 million offer on the table for Wes Welker Wednesday.
Insight: Since news of the Amendola signing broke after Welker signed with the Broncos, it looked like a reactionary move on the part of the Patriots. According to Curran, New England's actual reaction came when Welker made it clear he would test the free agent market. New England didn't want to wait and risk losing both players.

Description: Meet Wes Welker's replacement, Danny Amendola. The Patriots have signed the former Rams wideout to a new five-year, $31 million contract.
Insight: A short slot receiver from Texas Tech ... sound familiar to anyone? Amendola is basically Welker 2.0. Tom Brady's rocket arm should propel the 27-year-old to his first 1,000 yard season in 2013, provided Amendola can stay healthy, something he hasn't done over the last two seasons with St. Louis.

Description: The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams and wide receiver Danny Amendola are "far apart" on terms of a new contract.
Insight: It's seems like Amendola's preference would be a return to St. Louis but he's not likely to take a hometown discount either. These negotiations should drag on for a while.

1/30/2013 7:56:00 PM
Description: Adam Schefter from ESPN suggests that the Patriots could go after Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola if they are unable to retain Wes Welker in free agency.
Insight: Amendola broke his collarbone in Week 5 and never really looked the same after that. He's got 1,000-yard potential but he's certainly a downgrade from Welker.

12/16/2012 10:41:00 AM
Description: Chris Mortensen of ESPN has reported that St. Louis wideout Danny Amendola is indeed active for Sunday's matchup against the Vikings after missing the last two weeks with an injured heel.
Insight: Amendola endured a full week of practice and it looks like he's actually ready to contribute this week after being used as a decoy in his most recent outing Week 12 against Arizona. Chris Givens will return to WR3/flex status now that Amendola is healthy again.

12/14/2012 3:36:00 PM
Description: Rams receiver Danny Amendola (heel) returned to the practice field on Friday and has been upgraded to probable.
Insight: Amendola said he "will play" when asked after practice, but the more important question is whether he will make it through 60 minutes. High-risk, high-reward.

Description: Rams receiver Danny Amendola (heel) has a "much better chance" to play this week after sitting out his second straight game Sunday, St. Louis coach Jeff Fisher said. SOURCE: StLouisRams.com
Insight: Amendola tried to work out during pre-game warmups but the team decided to keep him out another week to further heal. The receiver is still not guaranteed to play Sunday, as Fisher said he needs to be "close to 100 percent" to be effective.

Description: Rams receiver Danny Amendola (heel) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills. SOURCE: Chris Mortensen, ESPN
Insight: This will be the second straight game and fifth in the last eight Amendola has missed. Chris Givens has 16 receptions on 20 targets for 207 yards over his last two games and will be an intriguing WR3 option Sunday versus Buffalo.

12/9/2012 11:06:00 AM
Description: As he did two weeks ago, Rams receiver Danny Amendola (heel) will warm up before the game to see if he can play Sunday against the Bills.
Insight: Amendola missed Week 13 after playing an extremely limited number of snaps the previous week. Since he was able to play two weeks ago despite carrying a doubtful tag into pre-game warmups, we expect he'll be active this week. However, Chris Givens is a better play.

12/7/2012 9:12:00 PM
Description: Rams wideout Danny Amendola was a limited participant in Friday's practice. He's questionable for Sunday's game against Buffalo because of a heel injury.
Insight: Amendola will be a game-time decision and even if he plays, he'll likely be on a snap count. If you're looking to use a St. Louis receiver this week, Chris Givens (16 catches, 207 yards in his last two games) is probably your best bet.

Description: Despite spending most of Wednesday's practice in a walking boot, St. Louis wideout Danny Amendola (heel) did get in some individual drills on the side. SOURCE: St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Insight: Amendola owners might want to add rookie Chris Givens in case the slot receiver has to miss another game Sunday. Givens has accumulated 16 receptions on 20 targets for 207 yards and a touchdown his last two games.

12/5/2012 4:42:00 PM
Description: St. Louis wideout Danny Amendola (heel) missed Wednesday's practice.
Insight: If Amendola plays he's a must start, but if he is inactive Chris Givens and Brandon Gibson would get most of the targets.

12/2/2012 11:48:00 AM
Description: St. Louis wideout Danny Amendola is a no-go for Sunday's game against San Francisco. He's out with a heel injury.
Insight: Amendola was in a walking boot most of the week so we assumed this would be the case. Brandon Gibson (34 receptions, 437 yards, four TDs) will draw the start at receiver in Amendola's place.

12/2/2012 11:09:00 AM
Description: Rams receiver Danny Amendola (heel) didn't practice Friday but was finally out of the walking boot. He's still doubtful for Sunday's game against the 49ers, but will try it out in warmups.
Insight: Amendola was considered highly unlikely to play last Sunday morning but ended up starting against the Cardinals. Unfortunately, he lasted about seven plays. We wouldn't take the risk in Week 13, even if he's able to play again.

11/29/2012 4:37:00 PM
Description: The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Rams wideout Danny Amendola was unable to practice on Thursday. Amendola has been bothered by a nagging heel injury in recent weeks.
Insight: Amendola was seen wearing a walking boot on Wednesday and it doesn't look likely that we'll see him on the practice field this week. Amendola will probably be limited if he plays at all Sunday against San Francisco.

11/25/2012 2:52:00 PM
Description: St. Louis wideout Danny Amendola (heel) is surprisingly active for Sunday's game against Arizona. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: Amendola was considered "highly unlikely" to play this morning, according to ESPN's duo of Schefter and Chris Mortensen. The receiver still makes for an extremely risky play at far less than 100 percent.

11/25/2012 10:41:00 AM
Description: St. Louis wideout Danny Amendola (heel) will go through pre-game warmups before the Rams make a final decision on his status for Sunday's game against Arizona, but the receiver is considered doubtful. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: Fantasy owners can hold out hope that Amendola will be able to go but should have other options ready since the Rams play at 4:25 p.m. ET. The receiver didn't practice and was in a walking boot all week.

11/23/2012 3:12:00 PM
Description: St. Louis wideout Danny Amendola hasn't practiced this week and has been downgraded to doubtful.
Insight: Injuries have been an issue for Amendola as he's only been on the field for seven of the team's ten games this season. Another issue this week would be his likely matchup with CB Patrick Peterson.

11/21/2012 8:38:00 PM
Description: St. Louis wideout Danny Amendola is in a walking boot according to head coach Jeff Fisher. He's still recovering from a foot injury he suffered in Week 11's loss to the Jets.
Insight: Amendola missed practice Wednesday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup with Arizona. Injuries have been an issue for Amendola as he's only been on the field for seven of the team's ten games this season.
