The Lions got a 30-yard field goal from Paul McCallum to cap their first possession of the game, and their second touch ended on a 35-yard touchdown catch by Arceneaux from Glenn.

Montreal answered the touchdown with its only points of the first half, a 42- yard field goal from Sean Whyte.

With John Beck under center, Arceneaux caught a 27-yard score, and Andrew Harris had a 13-yard scoring catch, while the Lions conceded a safety in their own end zone later in the game to account for the final score.
