Bryson, the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos defeated the San Diego Toreros, 72-61, in
a non-conference bout at Jenny Craig Pavilion.
Bryson shot 8-of-12 from the field for UCSB (5-3), including 5-of-7 from 3-
point range. Kyle Boswell scored 12 points off the bench, while Zalmico Harmon
and Alan Williams netted 11 points apiece.
For San Diego (8-4), Duda Sanadze scored 19 points and Johnny Dee put up 18,
although the duo combined the shoot just 7-of-23 from beyond the arc. Dennis
Kramer tallied a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
UCSB started the game hot, shooting 52.4 percent from the field in the first
half, including 6-of-12 from 3-point range, as it carried a 34-30 lead into
San Diego came back to take a brief one-point lead with under 10 minutes to
play on a Dee jumper, but the Gauchos responded with a 16-1 run to effectively
put the game away.
UCSB shot 17-of-25 from the free-throw line on the afternoon, while San Diego
was just 5-of-12 from the stripe.
