Barcelona, Spain (SportsNetwork.com) - Eight-time champion Rafael Nadal eased into the quarterfinals at the $2.55 million Barcelona Open tennis event.

The world No. 1 and reigning three-time titlist recorded his 41st consecutive match win at this tournament by cruising past Croat Ivan Dodig 6-3, 6-3 on the red clay at Royal Barcelona Tennis Club.

The reigning French and U.S. Open champion Nadal beat Nicolas Almagro in last year's third straight all-Spanish Barcelona finale and the two compatriots will clash again here in Friday's quarterfinals.   continue>>
