Final Score: Real Salt Lake 2, Philadelphia 2

Chester, PA ( - Maurice Edu netted a late equalizer and Zac MacMath came up with several key saves as the Philadelphia Union battled back to earn a 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake on Saturday at PPL Park.

RSL had the edge early and were awarded a penalty kick in the third minute after Union defender Austin Berry brought down Olmes Garcia in the area.

Alvaro Saborio stepped to the spot and hit it hard to the right, but MacMath got a hand to it for his second penalty save in as many games. But the Union defense lost RSL midfielder Luke Mulholland on the rebound and he fired it home.

Philadelphia grabbed an equalizer in the 55th minute with some stellar build- up play as Vincent Nogueira lofted a nicely-weighted ball across the area for newcomer Andrew Wenger, who took one touch and fired it home for his first goal in a Union kit.

Real Salt Lake began to apply more pressure after the hour mark and MacMath came up with a huge save on RSL's Devon Sandoval in the 76th minute, but could do nothing to stop Kyle Beckerman's effort in the 85th following a nice feed from Javier Morales to put the visitors back in front.

But the Union battled back again, grabbing another equalizer in the final minute of normal time when a corner kick from Cristian Maidana was nodded home by an unmarked Edu.

Philadelphia had one final opportunity in stoppage time as substitute Conor Casey got on the end of a long pass from Nogueira, but directed a powerful header inches wide of the post as the clubs settled for a point apiece.
