Final Score: Vancouver 3, Montreal 0

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Camilo bagged a second-half brace with a pair of goals in a two minute span on Saturday as the Vancouver Whitecaps rolled to a comfortable 3-0 win over the Montreal Impact at Saputo Stadium.

Vancouver entered the match in seventh place in the Western Conference and in desperate need of three points to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Things broke in favor of the visitors just seven minutes in when a shot from distance by Vancouver's Nigel Reo Coker struck the outstretched arm of Impact defender Hassoun Camara, resulting in a penalty kick for the 'Caps.

Captain Kenny Miller stepped up to the spot and calmly buried it to put the traveling side ahead early.

Montreal's best chance of the afternoon came in the 54th minute when Justin Mapp sent a cross into the area from the right flank which was volleyed on goal by Felipe, but the shot smashed the crossbar and stayed out.

Vancouver put the result away in the final minute of regulation, catching the Impact on the counter attack as Camilo ran onto a long ball down field from Young-Pyo Lee. He raced toward the end line and beat Impact goalkeeper Troy Perkins low to the far corner.

Camilo then made it three for the visitors in stoppage time when he ripped a laser strike from distance into the upper 90, leaving Perkins with no chance for a save.

The result sees the Whitecaps up to 41 points, just three behind the Los Angeles Galaxy for the final playoff spot in the West, while the Impact remain on 45 points.
