Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas returned to the lineup Sunday and rushed for 105 yards.
Insight: Thomas was rumored to be out for the season with an ankle injury just a week ago, so this performance was a huge surprise. If starter Lamar Miller can't come back from a concussion he suffered Sunday, Thomas might have a chance to repeat the effort in Week 15.

Insight: Thomas was supposed to be out for the season with an ankle injury so this is quite a surprise. Fantasy owners planning on starting Lamar Miller in Week 14 may want to change their strategy.

Description: Dolphins halfback Daniel Thomas apparently tore ligaments in his left ankle Sunday against Carolina and could be done for the season, according to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Insight: Thomas was getting most of the backup carries behind Lamar Miller. It's likely that Mike Gillislee will take over that role while Thomas is sidelined.

Description: Dolphins halfback Daniel Thomas hurt his ankle Sunday against Carolina.
Insight: Thomas (three carries for eight yards) exited the game in the third quarter. Lamar Miller is going to see a heavy workload in his absence.

Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas left Sunday's game with a knee injury in the first quarter and didn't return.
Insight: We don't have any update on Thomas' injury, but the resulting additional workload for Reggie Bush helped him crack the 100-yard rushing mark for the first time since Week 2.

Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas (concussions) says he has been cleared for contact, according to a report from Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post.
Insight: Thomas has suffered two concussions this season so this seems ahead of schedule, but we will take his word for it. Both Reggie Bush and Lamar Miller were ineffective against the Rams' suspect run defense and the Dolphins' bye week should be spent trying to fix the running game.

Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas (concussions) has been ruled out for Week 6, according to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post.
Insight: Thomas has suffered two concussions this season so he might be out for awhile. Lamar Miller will handle backup running back duties behind Reggie Bush.
10/12/2012 1:46:00 PM
Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas is doubtful for Sunday's game against St. Louis dealing with a concussion.
Insight: Lamar Miller is the backup for Reggie Bush, who is also a little bit nicked up. The team hasn't been happy with Miller's "awareness" but they probalby have no choice but to use him in Week 6 for up to 10 carries.
9/24/2012 3:25:00 PM
Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas played 42 snaps to rookie Lamar Miller's 17 in Week 3, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Insight: Thomas is a lesser player with a fumbling issue but Miller needs to improve in pass protection and get a better grasp on the offense before the team can play him more. For the time being Thomas is the backup Miami running back to own while Reggie Bush is out, but his fantasy value is dependant on Bush's status.
9/23/2012 5:24:00 PM
Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas had to handle a heavier workload than expected Sunday after Reggie Bush left with a left knee injury. Thomas carried 19 times for 69 yards and a touchdown but also lost a fumble.
Insight: Thomas has had fumbling issues -- he's already lost two in two games this season. Bush had 61 yards on 10 carries before exiting.
9/21/2012 7:17:00 PM
Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas (concussion) is probable to play in Week 3.
Insight: Thomas sat out last week, giving rookie Lamar Miller a chance to make his NFL debut. Miller rushed for 65 yards on 10 carries but only because Reggie Bush laid waste to Oakland's defense, allowing Miami to rest him in the fourth quarter. Neither Thomas nor Miller is a fantasy option at this time but given Bush's injury history both of them could be considered strong handcuffs.

Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas (concussion) has passed concussion tests and was back at practice on Wednesday
Insight: Rookie Lamar Miller served as Reggie Bush's backup last week, but neither Miller or Thomas has any fantasy value while Bush is playing at such a high level.
9/12/2012 5:45:00 PM
Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas (concussion) has passed concussion tests but he still won't play Sunday, according to 640 AM Miami.
Insight: Rookie Lamar Miller will serve as Reggie Bush's backup after he was inactive for Week 1. Bush is really the only Dolphins player you want to be starting in fantasy at this point.
9/11/2012 2:25:00 PM
Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas (concussion) is doubtful for Sunday's game against Oakland.
Insight: Without Thomas, Reggie Bush is in line for a jump in his workload. Bush rushed 14 times for 63 yards and caught six balls for 46 yards as the Dolphins fell to Houston in Week 1.
7/22/2012 10:39:00 PM
Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas is not a lock to be the Dolphins' No. 2 running back after Reggie Bush, according to the Miami Herald. He'll be pushed in training camp by Lamar Miller and Steve Slaton.
Insight: Bush, meanwhile, is a near-lock to miss at least a game or two due to injuries, so whoever wins the backup job will be a coveted handcuff in fantasy drafts. We ultimately expect Thomas to be Bush's understudy, but he also dealt with injuries last season and averaged just 3.5 ypc when he was healthy so his fantasy value will be limited regardless.
6/11/2012 12:35:00 PM
Description: Miami running back Daniel Thomas blames injuries for lost confidence and a poor rookie season.
Insight: It's going to be difficult to disect the Dolphins running back distribution after Reggie Bush's "career year" and the drafting of Lamar Miller. At the moment we expect Bush to start 2012 as he finished 2011, as the team's primary back and Thomas as the handcuff. With Bush's injury history, Thomas could have solid fantasy value.
