Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Dalton Pepper and Will Cummings scored 16 points apiece as the Temple Owls defeated Big 5 foe Saint Joseph's, 77-69, in a non-conference game at the Liacouras Center.

The Owls shot 38.8 percent from the field and 4-of-13 from 3-point range in the first half, helping to give them a 39-34 lead at intermission. The Hawks converted 36.3 percent on their field goal attempts and only 2-of-10 from beyond the arc.

Temple came out of the break and shot a solid 52 percent from the floor. Saint Joseph's struggled, only shooting 40.6 percent from the field and making a mere 4-of-16 from the 3-point line. With 2:09 left Temple went on a 12-4 run to close out the win.

The home team won despite being outrebounded, 45-37, but made up for that deficit by owning a 25-2 scoring advantage among the reserves.
