Ypsilanti, MI (Sports Network) - Glenn Bryant scored 17 points to lead the
Eastern Michigan Eagles over the Buffalo Bulls, 65-46, in Mid-American
Conference play from the Convocation Center.
Bryant also had four blocks and Austin Harper added 10 points off the bench
for Eastern Michigan (11-11, 4-4 MAC) which had lost two of its previous three
contests.
Javon McCrea had 15 points and was a rebound shy of a double-double while Will
Regan added 12 points for Buffalo (8-15, 3-6) which has lost four of its last
five.
Thanks to eight crucial offensive rebounds the Eagles led 37-33 at halftime
despite allowing the Bulls to shoot 52.4 percent from the field in the first
20 minutes. Eastern Michigan shot at a 45.5 percent rate but had four more
field goals and 12 more attempts from the field than Buffalo.
In the second half the Eagles held the Bulls to just five field goals and
27.8 percent shooting en route to the 19-point victory.
Eastern Michigan had a 23-8 edge in points off turnovers and a 21-9 advantage
in second chance points.
