Muncie, IN (Sports Network) - Jauwan Scaife posted a career-high 30 points,
leading the Ball State Cardinals over the Western Michigan Broncos, 65-62, for
the upset win in a Mid-American Conference clash at the Worthen Arena.
Scaife was 9-of-16 from the floor, 3-of-6 from 3-point range, and 9-of-10 from
the free-throw line for Ball State (9-13, 3-7 MAC), which broke a three-game
losing streak. Marcus Posley added 15 points and three steals while Matt
Kamieniecki managed 10 points.
Darius Paul recorded a double-double for Western Michigan (15-8, 7-3) with 13
points and 11 rebounds. David Brown also tallied 13 points to go with three
steals while Nate Hutcheson added 12 points and eight rebounds. The Broncos
saw a seven-game win streak come to a close.
The Cardinals shot 50.0 percent from the floor in the first half while holding
