Iowa State's Hoiberg has pacemaker replaced

Rochester, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Iowa State men's basketball coach Fred Hoiberg had his pacemaker replaced during surgery on Tuesday morning

The procedure at the Mayo Clinic was successful, Hoiberg said in a statement. He expects to be discharged and to return to Ames on Tuesday afternoon.

Hoiberg was a guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves when he had open-heart surgery in June 2005 to correct an enlarged aortic root, ending his NBA career.  Full Story
