Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Woodard scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Oklahoma Sooners to a 64-52 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies in a non-conference brawl at the Toyota Center.
Woodard was the only player in double figures for Oklahoma (11-1), though Ryan Spangler pulled in 13 rebounds and Tyler Neal added 10 more. The Sooners have won seven straight games.
Jordan Green netted 10 points as the only player in double figures for Texas A&M (8-3). Kourtney Roberson grabbed 13 rebounds but managed only seven points on 2-of-9 shooting.
Even though Oklahoma only hit 39.1 percent of its first half field goal tries, it still led, 23-14 at the break by holding Texas A&M to five field goals in the period.
After the break the Sooners still didn't shoot at a particularly impressive rate, netting 40 percent from the field. It was enough to hold off the Aggies, who hit just 39.4 percent themselves.
The Aggies lost despite a 30-18 scoring advantage in the paint. Oklahoma won the battle on the boards, 50-39.
