NCAA Game Summary - College of Charleston at Chattanooga (Saturday, February 9) Final Score: College of Charleston 71, Chattanooga 68 Chattanooga, TN (Sports Network) - Trent Wiedeman recorded a double-double with a team-high 16 points as the College of Charleston Cougars held on to defeat the Chattanooga Mocs, 71-68, in Southern Conference action at McKenzie Arena. Wiedeman came off the bench to record 10 rebounds in the Cougars' (18-7, 10-3 SoCon) victory. Anthony Stitt and Andrew Lawrence contributed 13 points a piece. Anthony Thomas added 10 points and four boards as Charleston won a sixth consecutive game. For the Mocs (9-15, 4-7), Z. Mason put up a game-high 27 points along with six rebounds. Gee McGhee was two rebounds shy of a double-double with 20 points. Drazen Zlovaric contributed 15 points for Chattanooga which has lost five of its last six games. Both teams shot around 46 percent from the floor, but a 3-pointer by the Cougars with eight seconds remaining gave them a 36-35 advantage at the break. With the score knotted at 63-63 with just under five minutes to go, the Cougars scored the next five points of the game and then hit 3-of-4 free-throw attempts in the final minute. The Mocs had a chance to tie the game but Ronrico White's 3-point attempt was off the mark as time expired.
