Description: Pittsburgh halfback LaRod Stephens-Howling tore his right ACL Sunday against the Titans.
Insight: He's been placed on IR, which means he's done for the year. That leaves the backfield duties to Isaac Redman and Felix Jones. Pittsburgh's offense hasn't looked this bad in a long time.

Description: Steelers tailback LaRod Stephens-Howling left Sunday's opener with a knee injury and will not return.
Insight: Stephens-Howling was just starting to get going after replacing an ineffective Isaac Redman and Felix Jones. He had rushed for 19 yards on six carries and caught a pair of ballas for another 11 yards. The Steelers are generating zero offense today.

Description: Halfback LaRod Stephens-Howling has agreed to a one-year deal with Pittsburgh according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Insight: Stephens-Howling has never rushed for more than 356 yards in a single season. The Steelers could use him as a kick returner but that won't improve his fantasy prospects.

Description: Arizona running back LaRod Stephens-Howling is questionable for Sunday's game against the NY Jets due to sore ribs.
Insight: Beanie Wells returned from the PUP list to score twice against St. Louis. If LSH can't play, William Powell will be the backup.

Description: Arizona running back LaRod Stephens-Howling is active for Sunday's game against St. Louis, but is not expected to start.
Insight: Despite 127 yards on the ground last weekend, Stephens-Howling is thought of as a change-of-pace back and a third-down receiving option. Beanie Wells is the starter and is expected to carry the majority of the workload.

Description: Arizona running back LaRod Stephens-Howling put together his best game of the year Sunday in a loss to Atlanta. Stephens-Howling recorded 127 yards rushing on 22 carries.
Insight: Stephens-Howling broke off runs of 40 and 52 yards during the first half while also contributing a three-yard TD run. Unfortunately his fantasy stock will take a big hit next week when Beanie Wells returns from a two-month battle with turf toe.

Description: Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic said it's doubtful the Cardinals are going to continue to rely so heavily on LaRod Stephens-Howling while Beanie Wells is out. Stephens-Howling touched the ball 24 times for 149 yards in Week 7.
Insight: William Powell fumbled a kickoff in the first quarter and was benched. We should see more of an even split going forward so you should try to sell Stephens-Howling as a capable flex starter before the Cardinals play San Francisco Monday and their running game gets shut down.
10/22/2012 11:07:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back LaRod Stephens-Howling rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries and caught four passes for 45 yards in Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Insight: William Powell fumbled a kickoff in the first quarter and promptly entered coach Ken Whisenhunt's dog house. Stephens-Howling outcarried Powell 20-4 in the game. Arizona has an even tougher matchup next Sunday against the 49ers so we wouldn't start either back, though we could see Stephens-Howling get the majority of the touches again if the team goes with the hot hand.

Description: Cardinals running back LaRod Stephens-Howling (hip) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Insight: Stephens-Howling will split touches with William Powell as Arizona tries to replace Ryan Williams (shoulder). Neither player is an attractive fantasy option due to the Cardinals' offensive line woes.
10/8/2012 5:00:00 PM
Description: According to the Arizona Republic, the Cardinals think running back Larod Stephens-Howling is too small to carry the ball 15 times per game.
Insight: Stephens-Howling a 5-foot-7, 185-pound back, is one of three players the Cardinals are going to have to lean on now that Ryan Williams (shoulder) has been ruled out for the season after having shoulder surgery. Beanie Wells (toe) is on injured reserve (designated to return) and cannot come back until Week 12.
