South Alabama shot an impressive 57.9 percent from the floor in the first half. However, it was nowhere near enough to keep up with Georgia State, which connected on 65.2 percent from the field, including 8-of-11 from beyond the arc, to claim a 41-25 edge at halftime.

The Panthers closed out the game by drilling 60.9 percent from the field and 14-of-15 at the free-throw line in the final 20 minutes.

The two teams combined for only 45 rebounds. Georgia State outscored the Jaguars 19-11 off of turnovers.
