NCAA Game Summary - Siena at Marist

Poughkeepsie, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Down by two points with three seconds left on the clock, the Marist Red Foxes received a heroic shot from Jay Bowie, who connected on a 3-pointer that gave them a 65-64 victory over the Siena Saints in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference clash at McCann Arena.
Khallid Hart netted 16 points to pace Marist (10-15, 7-8 MAAC). Adam Kemp tallied a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds, while Chavaughn Lewis chipped in 14 points and a team-high six assists with four steals. Bowie contributed 10 points, hitting just 2-of-10 shooting but added the biggest basket of the game. The Red Foxes have won four of their last five games.
Marquis Wright led all scorers in the game with 20 points for Siena (11-15, 7-8). Lavon Long notched a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards, while Brett Bisping added 11 points and eight rebounds. The Saints have lost three of their last four contests.
Neither team could find any sort of rhythm in the first half. Siena connected on 25.7 percent of its field goal tries in the frame, and took a 26-25 lead into the half. Marist shot a miserable 22.2 percent, but hit 11-of-13 from the free-throw line.
The Red Foxes picked it up in the second half, hitting 38.2 percent from the floor and 5-of-8 from 3-point range. Siena improved to 39.3 percent shooting, but could only muster 2-of-7 from beyond the arc. The Saints did hit 14-of-17 from the charity stripe in the half.
Marist outscored Siena from 3-point range, 21-12, which included the game- winning points. Siena had the advantage in bench points, 12-7.
