Description: Early indications are Washington receiver DeSean Jackson (shoulder) avoided serious injury and is questionable for Sunday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Jackson landed on it with a defensive back on top of him while trying to make a first-quarter catch. You know he'll do everything in his power to play against his former team.

Insight: Jackson landed on it with a defensive back on top of him while trying to make a first-quarter catch. His return is unknown at this time.

Description: Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson (ankle) has returned to a limited practice, according to Tarik El-Bashir of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Jackson, who sprained his ankle last Wednesday, participated in individual drills. Coach Jay Gruden said he expects Jackson to be running and cutting in a couple of days.

Description: Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson (ankle) is iffy for Thursday's preseason opener, according to the Washington Post.
Insight: Coach Jay Gruden said Jackson got "cleated" during Wednesday's walkthrough and rolled an ankle. Pierre Garcon is dealing with a hamstring injury, so Washington may be without both of its top receivers Thursday.

Description: Free agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson has agreed to a multi-year deal with the Washington Redskins.
Insight: While this is certainly a boon to the Washington offense, Jackson will have to work hard to get the same number of targets he saw in Philadelphia (126) as incumbent No. 1 Pierre Garcon led the league in that department with 182. They also have an up-and-coming TE in Jordan Reed.

Insight: Teams are being very cautious with Jackson following the story released Friday on NJ.com about his alleged gang connections back in Los Angeles. That hasn't scared the Redskins away, however. They're bringing Jackson in for a visit on Monday.

Description: Free agent wideout DeSean Jackson has already been contacted by at least seven teams. SOURCE: Manish Mehta, New York Daily News
Insight: The real surprise is that the Jets were not one of them. The Chiefs, who are led by former Eagles head coach Andy Reid, have emerged as the early favorites to land Jackson in free agency.

Description: Philadelphia wide receiver DeSean Jackson has been released, according to nfl.com.
Insight: The Eagles became concerned with Jackson's gang ties back home in Los Angeles and decided he wasn't worth the trouble. Jackson caught 82 balls for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns last season and his fantasy value is going to take a hit away from Chip Kelly's system. The value of Jeremy Maclin and Zach Ertz improves with the move to cut Jackson.

Description: Philadelphia wide receiver DeSean Jackson told his teammates Tuesday that he would be back with the Eagles in 2014. SOURCE: Philadelphia Inquirer
Insight: This came after Jackson and coach Chip Kelly apparently talked for the first time since the end of the last season. We're not sure what to make of this news, but if the two can get along, it makes no sense to trade or cut the talented wide receiver.

Description: Philadelphia is considering releasing wide receiver DeSean Jackson as a result of his refusal to restructure his current contract. SOURCE: Manish Mehta, New York Daily News
Insight: It seems as though Jackson has played his final game as an Eagle. Philadelphia's preference would obviously be to trade him but if teams are unwilling to take on his huge cap figure ($10.5 million in 2014), cutting him will be their only option. The Jets, Panthers, Patriots, 49ers and Seahawks are among the teams interested in Jackson.

3/22/2014 3:55:00 PM
Description: Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson now appears to be fully "in play" on the trade market, though most of the interested teams would likely end up hurting his fantasy value.
Insight: Jackson's big contract ($10.6 million in 2014) is the problem for most of the teams. His best landing spot, other than staying with the Eagles would be New England. If he ends up in Oakland or with the Jets ... lookout below. He caught 82 balls for 1,332 yards and nine TDs in Chip Kelly's spread offense last season.

3/21/2014 10:05:00 AM
Description: Numerous teams are said to have inquired about Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson.
Insight: Some of these rumored teams would be a disaster for Jackson's fantasy owners (read Jets, Oakland) and some would be middle of the road (49ers, Carolina), but if he ended up with the New England Patriots he'd likely increase in fantasy value.

Description: If the Eagles are willing to give up DeSean Jackson for only a third-round pick, the Patriots will certainly be interested. SOURCE: John Beattie, NESN
Insight: As great as Jackson would look in Patriots blue and silver, the move would put New England over the salary cap. An easy solution would be to grant Vince Wilfork his release, which he asked for about a week ago. Jackson (82 catches, 1,332 yards, 9 TD last season) would give Tom Brady the deep threat he's been missing since Randy Moss left in 2010.

3/2/2014 2:33:00 PM
Description: Philly.com's Jimmy Kempski hears the Eagles could be open to trading Pro Bowl wide receiver DeSean Jackson.
Insight: That does seem like a possibility now that Philadelphia has gone out of its way to re-sign Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin. Obviously, Nick Foles would take a major fantasy hit without his best receiving weapon. We'll have to see how this one plays out.

12/15/2013 6:01:00 PM
Description: Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson recorded season highs with 10 catches, 195 yards and 16 targets while scoring one touchdown Sunday at Minnesota.
Insight: Jackson hadn't reached the 100-yard bonus since Nov. 3. He now has a career-high 1,275 yards and nine touchdowns on 75 catches and will be a low-end WR1 for the final two games of the season.

10/20/2013 3:58:00 PM
Description: Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson was sidelined by an apparent ankle injury, but had returned to the game.
Insight: Jackson (2 rec, 15 yards) and the entire Eagles offense has yet to get untracked against the Cowboys defense.

Description: Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson has been sidelined by an apparent ankle injury and is questionable to return to the game.

10/6/2013 5:40:00 PM
Description: Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson easily dominated the Giants for seven catches, 132 yards and a touchdown Sunday afternoon.
Insight: It didn't matter who was playing quarterback for the Eagles on Sunday, Jackson was getting open and getting the football. He now has 525 yards and three scores on 28 catches through five games, but will have to deal with Darrelle Revis in Week 6 at Tampa Bay.

Hot9/15/2013 5:34:00 PM
Description: Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson had gains of 20, 25, 41 and 61 yards Sunday against the Chargers as part of a nine-catch, 193-yard game.
Insight: Jackson caught a 61-yard touchdown and had a 37-yard score nullified by a penalty. The receiver saw 15 targets Sunday and has 16 catches for 297 yards and two touchdowns in two games.

8/26/2013 2:03:00 PM
Description: Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson is going to return punts when the games count, according to coach Chip Kelly.
Insight: Jackson is the best receiver on the team, and with Jeremy Maclin out for the season by a large margin, so returning punts could be a big gamble, but fantasy owners in return-yardage leagues just saw Jackson's value jump. A repeat of his 2009 or 2010 production would certainly make fantasy owners happy.
