Description: Rockies backup outfielder Brandon Barnes was 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored in the, 5-3, victory over the Giants in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
Insight: Barnes only has 10 at-bats in five MLB games this year, but he has seven hits, two doubles, three RBI and three runs. He has a long way to go to be fantasy relevant, but he is on TSN's radar.

Description: Rockies backup outfielder Brandon Barnes (.319, 0 HR, 3 RBI, 15 runs scored) will get the start in left field and bat leadoff on Saturday.
Insight: Barnes starts because Carlos Gonzalez will miss his third consecutive game due to a bruised left index finger.

Description: Astros center fielder Brandon Barnes had a big night Tuesday against Minnesota.
Insight: Barnes (.245, 7 HR, 36 RBI) was responsible for five of Houston's six runs with three coming on a game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth inning. The three-run blast was his first homer in almost a month (August 9th against Texas). Barnes' days in center field could be numbered with top prospect George Springer (37 HR, 45 SB in the minor leagues this season) likely to start there next season.

Description: Houston outfielder Brandon Barnes is doubtful for Wednesday's game against Oakland with a strained left calf.
Insight: Since his epic 5-for-5 cycle last Friday, Barnes has gone 3-for-14 (all singles). His season-long numbers are simply not fantasy worthy (.248, 5 HR, 22 RBI in 80 games).
