Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Eric Gordon led a balanced scoring attack
with 19 points and the New Orleans Pelicans routed the Memphis Grizzlies 99-84
 on Wednesday.

Anthony Davis put his versatility on display with 18 points, nine rebounds,
three blocks and three steals as the Pelicans won on the road for the first
time this season. Tyreke Evans added 16 points off the bench.

Mike Conley netted 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting for Memphis, which was
without Zach Randolph for most of the game after the power forward left the
arena when his fiancee went into labor. Randolph scored just two points in
eight minutes. Mike Miller hit 3-of-4 from behind the arc for nine points in
 the loss.

"We are a little frustrated. If we lost tonight giving the effort that we
normally give and laid it all out there, we would have been fine with that,"
 Conley said.

Four New Orleans starters had at least six points in the opening period and
Jrue Holiday scored the final five to go with three assists. The visitors shot
14-of-20 from the field and forced eight turnovers to lead 33-18 at the
 buzzer.

Jerryd Bayless, who scored 15 points off the bench to help the Grizzlies come
from behind to beat Boston on Monday, hit a 3 early in the second quarter
after Anthony Morrow started the frame with a jumper.

The Grizzlies' bench kept the score close until Tony Allen capped a 6-0 surge
with a driving layup to cut into the deficit with less than a minute remaining
in the half. Al-Farouq Aminu threw down an alley-oop dunk in the final moments
of the half, but Conley finished at the rim with 1.6 seconds left and Memphis
 trailed 51-41 at the break.

Gordon extended the Pelicans' edge back to 17 early in the second half with a
 pair of layups.

Davis had 10 points and made 6-of-6 from the foul line in the third to help
New Orleans take a 22-point lead into the final frame.

"We've had the lead at halftime before. The third quarters have just given us
trouble," New Orleans center Jason Smith said. "We just knew we had to come
out with a concerted effort and be motivated to come out and have a big third
 quarter."

Brian Roberts scored all five of his points in the opening moments of the
fourth with a 3 and a long two-pointer. Morrow's short jumper on the next
possession gave the Pelicans their largest lead at 29.
