Description: Raiders signed RB Michael Bennett to an undisclosed contract.
Insight: The 32 year old will serve as emergency insurance. he will not cut into the workload of either Darren McFadden or Michael Bush. (SportsBuff.com)

5/2/2010 7:03:00 PM
Description: The Raiders tried out free agent RB Michael Bennett on Friday.
Insight: Oakland would like to replace Justin Fargas with another veteran presence, but Bennett is not the answer. At 32, his skills have deteriorated greatly and he would add nothing to their offense. (SportsBuff.com)

3/2/2010 10:57:00 PM
Description: Beat writer Kevin Acee speculates that Michael Bennett could receive more work as San Diego attempts to replace LaDainian Tomlinson's contributions.
Insight: Sure he could...if only we could turn the clock back to 2002 (the last time Bennett was fantasy relevant.) It hardly makes sense to replace one formerly amazing 31 year old running back with a mediocre one. (SportsBuff.com)

1/5/2010 12:30:00 AM
Description: Bennett rushed a season-high 11 times for 28 yards and caught four passes for 62 yards on Sunday against the Redskins.
Insight: Bennett was the lead running back for the Chargers and had his best game of the season. He had not seen a carry since Week 3 against the Dolphins. (SportsBuff.com)

Steady4/22/2009 9:52:00 AM
Description: Bennett was mainly a bench player for the Buccanears and Chargers last season. He had one big season for the Vikings in 2002, but hasn't been too fantasy relevant since.
Insight: It would take a major rash of injuries for the nine-year veteran from Wisconsin to get on the field. He is still speedy, but that won't get you much if you don't have the ball. (SportsBuff.com)

1/8/2009 2:08:00 PM
Description: Bennett has to be considered a real fantasy option at this point. Assuming L.T. is not able to play; Bennett becomes a very real part of the San Diego offense, and could be an X factor.
Insight: Bennett has been very solid in his limited time in San Diego. He is a decent play at No. 2 RB. (SportsBuff.com)
