Description: Portland's new acquisition, Alonzo Gee, didn't have fantasy value in Denver and won't have any in Portland.
Insight: Gee was averaging 4.9 ppg, 1.8 rpg and came over in a deal that included Aaron Afflalo.

Description: Cleveland's Alonzo Gee started at small forward Saturday, but the switch is not permanent. SOURCE: Bob Finnan,
Insight: "I’m going to take it one game at a time," Brown said. "I’ll try to go with the best fit and go from there. I wanted something different with the starting lineup. So, I went in another direction." Neither Gee, who had two points Saturday despite getting the start, nor Earl Clark, who started the first six games, have fantasy value.

Description: Cavaliers forward Alonzo Gee made all eight of his field goal attempts Saturday night against the Nuggets and finished with 20 points.
Insight: Gee made eight field goals total in his first four games of February and only averaged 7.6 ppg on 37.2 percent shooting over his previous 17 games.
1/2/2013 9:35:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers forward Alonzo Gee's 16 points Wednesday against Sacramento were his most in the last 11 games, his 10 boards were a season high and his six assists tied a season high.
Insight: Gee came in having scored in double figures in seven straight but only averaged 11 ppg in that span. He's at 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.4 steals through 33 games.
12/18/2012 10:07:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers forward Alonzo Gee scored 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and three blocks Tuesday against Toronto.
Insight: Gee (11.7 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.1 apg) only averaged 6.3 ppg on 29.6 percent shooting his last three games. He only had 11 blocks all season prior to Tuesday's game so don't expect him to suddenly become a Serge Ibaka clone.
Hot11/22/2012 11:24:00 AM
Description: Cavaliers forward Alonzo Gee has scored at least 14 points in five of the last six games. He finally got hot from 3-point range Wednesday against Philadelphia, hitting 4-of-6 from behind the arc (6-of-27 previously).
Insight: Cavaliers coach Byron Scott stuck with Gee as the starting SF despite a slow start and he's rewarded the coach's faith. After turning the ball over 17 times in the first five games, he's only given it away six times in the last six.
10/30/2012 9:47:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers forward Alonzo Gee was the only starter who didn't have a good night in the season opener. He had just four points on 2-of-9 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, two steals and three turnovers.
Insight: Gee struggled this preseason and didn't get off to a good start Tuesday against the Wizards. Gee played 34 minutes in the game but that will decline if he continues to struggle.
10/23/2012 9:33:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers forward Alonzo Gee scored 18 points on 5-of-12 shooting (8-of-9 FT), grabbed five rebounds and had three steals and three rebounds in Tuesday's preseason game against the Pacers. Gee also turned it over four times.
Insight: Gee has struggled this preseason but Tuesday was a good look at what he's able to contribute. The forward scored 10.6 points with 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 29 minutes per game last season, though he also turned the ball over 1.8 times per game. He's slated to start at small forward for Cleveland but he'll have to develop consistency and ball security if he's going to keep the job.
9/11/2012 10:23:00 PM
Description: Forward Alonzo Gee and the Cavaliers have come to terms on a new three year, $10 million contract.
Insight: Gee averaged 10.6 ppg and 5.1 boards per contest for Cleveland during the 2011-12 season, his best in three years of professional hoops. He should be a candidate for the team's starting small forward position and could hold some relevance in deeper fantasy leagues.
4/23/2012 8:04:00 PM
Description: Alonzo Gee came off the bench in his return to the team on Sunday but tonight against Memphis, he'll be in the starting lineup.
Insight: Gee had missed about a week of action with an ankle injury before playing yesterday against San Antonio. Sunday he scored his season average of 10 points in just 19 minutes. Expect Gee's scoring total to increase with more minutes tonight.
4/18/2011 6:02:00 PM
Description: Alonzo Gee (ankle) is not expected to play on Wednesday.
Insight: Gee hasn't played well as of late, shooting just 3-for-15 from 3-point range in April. Omri Casspi will likely get the start. Casspi scored 11 points with four rebounds and two threes last night against Detroit. Casspi has hit 11 3-pointers in April, so he could be a nice option for those seeking production in that category.
4/9/2011 10:39:00 PM
Description: Alonzo Gee made all five from the field and both attempts from the charity stripe en route to 14 points, five boards, a steal, a block, and two triples in 30 minutes.
Insight: Gee was another guy we talked about quite a bit on Friday Night Recap and he came up aces this evening. The Cavs have no reason not to play this guy who can bring defense, hit triples, and score.
3/2/2011 9:27:00 PM
Description: Alonzo Gee was the bride's maid in possible scoops for the Cavs with the line of 18 points, seven boards, and two threes in 38 minutes.
Insight: 38 minutes? That's pretty attractive and the casual fantasy player would laugh in your face if you told him/her you'd rather own Gee over someone like Mike Bibby. When you play the waiver wire, you're looking for upside and Gee has a ton of it on a watered-down basketball team. He is a nice add in competitive leagues.
