DRAFT ANALYSIS - Became just the third player in NCAA history to record 1,500 points, 1,000 rebounds, 350 blocks and 150 steals (David Robinson, Pervis Ellison)...Williams repeated as the NABC National Defensive Player of the Year as a senior, becoming just the fifth player in the history of the award to earn it in back- to-back campaigns...Was named a First-Team All-American by several outlets, including AP and Wooden, as he lead the Blue Devils in rebounding, blocked shots and was second on the squad in steals...Named Third-Team All-American, ACC Defensive Player of the Year, First-Team All-ACC, First-Team ACC All- Tournament and ACC All-Defensive Team as a junior in 2004-05...Williams worked his way into the spotlight with Duke after a slow freshman campaign, finding a place on the All-ACC Second-Team as a sophomore...Some might think Williams was a product of playing alongside J.J. Redick at Duke, the nation`s top player this past year, because it took some of the pressure off of him to perform and he could pick his spots...Proved to be an outstanding defender and rebounder in the paint, but in terms of his offense, he failed to show smooth moves and appeared almost awkward when given the chance to shine with the ball...Finished his career with the Blue Devils averaging 13.4 ppg and just under nine rebounds per outing, after producing a career-best 18.4 ppg in 2005-06 and clearing nearly 10 rebounds per game.
