MLB Draft Profile - Kris Bryant
From The Sports Network

Position: 3B/OF

College: San Diego

Year:Junior

Height: 6-5

Weight: 215

NOTES:
San Diego's Kris Bryant is the best right-handed power bat in this draft...The West Coast Conference Co-Player of the Year, Bryant led the nation in home runs (30), slugging percentage (.876), runs scored (72) and was tied for the nation's lead in walks with 51 through 54 games...The 30 home runs were a new USD single-season record, breaking a 25-year-old mark of 18 held by Dave Rolls...He also surpassed the career home run record, as he currently has 53. In WCC action, Bryant hit .326 with 29 hits, four doubles, three triples, 13 RBI and 28 RBI. Overall, he hit .336 with 68 hits, 12 doubles, three triples, 30 home runs and 61 RBI...The bottom line is he has easy plus power, maybe more, with the ability to hit the ball out to all fields...Defensively, he has a plus arm, and while some feel he'll have to move to first in the future, others feel he has the actions, arm and power bat to profile well at third base...Some also think his future is in the outfield.
