MLB Draft Profile - Trey Ball
From The Sports Network

Position: LHP

High School: New Castle HS (Indiana)

Height: 6-5

Weight: 185

Like most high school phenoms, Ball can both pitch and hit. He has a lanky build that will surely fill out as the teenager gets older and is a projected first-round pick in the draft ... Ball's fastball tops out in the mid 90s and he has a strong curveball and changeup. His mechanics are much like Cole Hamels or Paul Maholm, but his delivery needs more consistency. Ball, though, does have a compact follow-thru and his height can be intimidating to opposing batters ... Ball, arguably the top left-hander in this draft class, may have to switch to the outfield because of his hitting I.Q. The lefty hitter draws comparisons to Adam LaRoche or Shawn Green, and appears to be headed right to the minor leagues after high school.
