Champions Tour wins Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge
Henderson, NV (Sports Network) - The Champions Tour team comprised of Kenny
Perry, Jay Haas and Mark Calcavecchia captured the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge on
Tuesday with a score of 15-under-par.
The trio defeated the LPGA Tour by one stroke and the PGA Tour by three in a
best-ball format that disregards one score on each hole. It is the seventh
Wendy's title for the senior tour, one behind the PGA Tour and two ahead of
the LPGA Tour.
The LPGA Tour finished second, with the team made up of Paula Creamer, Cristie
Kerr and Natalie Gulbis. They shot 14-under-par at the par-72 Rio Secco Golf
Club.
The PGA Tour team, made up of Boo Weekley, Gary Woodland and Jonathan Byrd,
finished last at 12-under-par.
