* - Defending Champion
Andy Bean closed with a two-under 70 at last year`s Regions Charity Classic to claim his second Champions Tour win. Bean finished at 13-under-par 203 for a one-stroke victory over Loren Roberts, who ran off three straight birdies from the 14th hole to make it interesting. Joining Bean in the field this week will be fellow former champions Brad Bryant (2006-07), Bruce Fleisher (2004), Tom Jenkins (2003), Hale Irwin (2001), Larry Nelson (1999), Jay Sigel (1997) and Jim Dent (1994). The Golf Channel will have tape-delayed coverage of all three rounds beginning at 6:30 p.m. (et) on Friday and Saturday and 7 p.m. on Sunday. Next week is the first major of the season for the Champions Tour, the Senior PGA Championship. Last year, Jay Haas survived four brutal days at Oak Hill to win one of the toughest over-50 majors in history.
