Dartmouth promotes Clark to offensive coordinator

Hanover, NH (Sports Network) - Dartmouth football coach Buddy Teevens announced the promotion of offensive line coach Keith Clark to offensive coordinator on Thursday.

In addition, former Dartmouth quarterback Chris Rorke was hired as the quarterbacks coach and passing-game coordinator.

In Clark's second season at Dartmouth this past fall, his offensive line paved the way for junior running back Nick Schwieger to gain 1,133 yards on the ground and a share of the coveted Bushnell Cup, given to the Ivy League's player of the year. The line yielded only seven sacks, a total bettered by only three FCS teams.

Clark, who has nearly 20 years of coaching experience in the Ivy League, is replacing Jim Pry as offensive coordinator. Pry departed Dartmouth last month over philosophical differences.

Rorke's senior season at Dartmouth in 1987 was during Teevens' first stint as the Big Green's head coach. Rorke had been the offensive coordinator at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., since 2006, helping the Bantams to a 34-6 record during his time there.

Before going to Trinity, Rorke spent three years as the offensive coordinator at Lehigh. He was the head coach at Plymouth State from 1999-2002.

Dartmouth is coming off its first winning season (6-4) in 13 years.
