NCAA Game Summary - Nevada at Utah State

Logan, UT (Sports Network) - Colin Kaepernick threw three touchdowns to help the Nevada Wolf Pack rally for a 35-32 win over the Utah State Aggies in a Western Athletic Conference clash at Romney Stadium.

Kaepernick completed 10-of-24 pass attempts for 189 yards with one interception for Nevada (3-3, 2-0 WAC) and he also added 77 yards on the ground. Vai Taua had a big game with 147 yards and a score on the ground, while Luke Lippincott also cracked the century mark with 104 yards and a touchdown. Lippincott even had a receiving touchdown, as the Wolf Pack won its third game in a row.

Diondre Borel performed well for Utah State (1-5, 0-2) in the loss, completing 25-of-42 pass attempts for 353 yards and three touchdowns. His primary target was Nnamdi Gwacham, who hauled in four balls for 140 yards and a score. Robert Turbin caught a touchdown and ran for another, as the Aggies remained winless against Football Bowl Subdivision opponents.

The Aggies grabbed the first lead of the game with a one-yard touchdown run by Turbin midway through the first quarter.

Utah State added to its lead early in the second quarter behind an eight-yard touchdown pas from Borel to Eric Moats.

It took Nevada less than two minutes to counter, as Kaepernick tossed an 11- yard scoring strike to Lippincott.

The Aggies, however, responded just minutes later with a 32-yard touchdown pass from Borel to Turbin.

Late in the first half, Kaepernick threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Virgil Green to pull the Wolf Pack within a touchdown heading into the break.

Chris Ulinski hit a 48-yard field goal early in the third quarter to give Utah State a 24-14 edge.

With just under two minutes left in the third quarter, Taua went in from five yards to make it a one-touchdown game.

Nevada took its first lead of the game with nine minutes left, as Brandon Wimberly pulled in a 49-yard touchdown pass from Kaepernick.

Five minutes later, the Wolf Pack pushed its lead to 35-24 with a 69-yard touchdown run by Lippincott.

The Aggies got a 14-yard touchdown pass from Borel to Gwacham and a two-point conversion late in the fourth, but would get no closer in the 35-32 loss.

Nevada had a big advantage on the ground, as it outgained Utah State 313-74 in rushing yards.
