Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Davon Usher shot 8-of-13 from the field en route to 21 points, as the Delaware Blue Hens bested the Northeastern Huskies, 87-74, in the semifinal round of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament at Baltimore Arena.
All five starters scored in double figures for top-seeded Delaware (24-9), which will play William & Mary matchup in Monday's championship game. Jarvis Threatt stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals, Devon Saddler tallied 16 points and nine assists, while Carl Baptiste and Kyle Anderson netted 14 and 10 points, respectively.
For fifth-seeded Northeastern (11-21), Scott Eatherton logged 20 points and eight rebounds and Reggie Spencer came off the bench to register 18 points and eight boards.
Delaware built up a 14-point lead less than eight minutes into the game, but it led by just two, 39-37, heading into intermission. The Blue Hens shot 44.8 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes, compared to 40 percent for the Huskies.
After briefly falling behind early in the second half, the Blue Hens pulled away with a 35-10 run that lasted more than 10 minutes.
Delaware scored 20 points off of 15 Northeastern turnovers.
