Youngstown, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Kamren Belin tallied 21 points, seven rebounds and two blocks as the Youngstown State Penguins coasted to an 85-59 decision over the South Dakota Coyotes in a non-conference matchup at the Beeghly Center.

Shawn Amiker chipped in 20 points and seven rebounds for YSU (9-6) as it improved to 6-1 in its own arena. Kendrick Perry contributed 17 points and swiped four steals while Bobby Hain scored 10 points.

Trey Norris led the Coyotes (3-9) with 16 points and four assists. Tyler Flack went 5-of-5 from the floor en route to 13 points and Adam Thoseby came off the bench to net 11 points.

The Penguins dominated the opening period and took a commanding, 53-18, lead into the intermission after they knocked down 60 percent of their field goal attempts including 7-of-14 from behind the 3-point line. South Dakota was limited to just 26.9 percent efficiency from the floor before halftime.

The Coyotes heated up to connect on 40.6 percent of their shots from the field in the second stanza. Although YSU was outscored by nine points after the break, its sizeable advantage on the scoreboard was never threatened.

The Penguins assisted 17 of their 30 made field goal attempts and converted the Coyotes' 19 turnovers into 22 points.
