Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jerrell Wright and Tyreek Duren each scored 18 points as the La Salle Explorers handled the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 75-67, in an Atlantic 10 Conference matchup at Tom Gola Arena.
Tyrone Garland and Sam Mills had 12 points apiece, with Steve Zack clearing eight boards for the Explorers (13-14, 5-8 A-10), who snapped a five-game losing streak.
Matthew Wright logged 18 points for the Bonnies (16-12, 6-8), who have lost two straight games. Youssou Ndoye tallied 16 points and six rebounds, while Dion Wright chipped in 11 points and Charlon Kloof added eight assists.
La Salle drained 68.1 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half, including 6-of-6 from 3-point range, as it led 40-38 at the break. St. Bonaventure made 51.9 percent of its shots from the field in the opening 20 minutes.
The Explorers cooled off a bit in the second frame as they made 45.8 percent of their field goal tries. After a Duren dunk tied the game up at 67 with 2:07 left, La Salle went on an 8-0 run to close out the game.
