Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Kyle Fogg led the way with 22 points, as the fourth-seeded Arizona Wildcats downed the ninth-seeded Oregon State Beavers, 72-61, in the semifinals of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament at the Staples Center. The Wildcats will meet the winner of the California- Colorado semifinal in the tournament championship game on Saturday.
Jesse Perry posted a double-double for the Wildcats (23-10) with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Solomon Hill chipped in 12 points.
Roberto Nelson scored 19 points, Devon Collier added 15 points and Jared Cunningham finished with 14 points for the Beavers (19-14).
OSU came out shooting very well, connecting on 50 percent from the field in the first half. Arizona struggled, making only 35.7 percent, but kept the game close by hitting on 5-of-12 from beyond the arc. as the Beavers went into halftime leading 34-27.
In the second half, the Beavers were the ones with shooting troubles, hitting on only 27.3 percent. The Wildcats were scorching after the break, knocking down 60.9 percent of their field goals in the second half. The Wildcats opened the half on a 20-3 run to take control of the game, 47-37. OSU would get no closer than five the rest of the way as the Arizona secured the come- from-behind victory.
Arizona had a slight edge on the boards, 36-34. The Wildcats finished the contest knocking down 9-of-18 from three-point range, while the Beavers made just 5-of-13 from long range.
