Richmond, VA (Sports Network) - Bradford Burgess scored 20 points to lift the second-seeded Virginia Commonwealth Rams to a 74-64 win over the third-seeded George Mason Patriots in the semifinals of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament at Richmond Coliseum.

Troy Daniels added 17 points, Rob Brandenburg put in 14 off the bench and Juvonte Reddic finished with 12 for Virginia Commonwealth (27-6) which will be in the conference title game for the second straight year when the Rams face top-seeded Drexel on Monday.

Mike Morrison had a double-double of the 20 points and 11 rebounds and Jonathan Arledge had a double-double of his own with 10 points and 11 rebounds for George Mason (24-9). Andre Cornelius added 15 points while CAA Player of the Year Ryan Pearson was held to just six points.

VCU opened the game on a 22-0 tear and led by a 48-32 margin at the break. The Rams outscored the Patriots 17-0 on points off turnovers in the opening twenty minutes.

George Mason chipped away and managed to cut the Rams lead to six, 66-60, with one minute left on the clock but the Rams went 9-for-12 from the free throw line to close the game and pull out the win.

The Rams shot just 26.3 percent from the floor in the second half and 42.3 percent for the game. The Patriots lost despite a dominating 41-24 advantage on the boards.
